Game Center comes to Corpse Toss!

We are working on a #GameCenter update! That means you will be able to earn achievements, and it will be easier to challenge your friends and brag about high scores. Oh yeah, gettin’ your toss on is about to get cooler!

Just FYI, for those on iTouch or iPhone, you will need to go into game center directly to see the achievements. Game Center seems to drop a part of their interface when viewing directly from the app, so you can only see the high scores leaderboards while in-game. Fear not tho, if you earned the achievement, it will show up in Game Center! Stay tuned!

We need your support!

Zephyr Games is an independent game development studio in Westchester New York. We are a small company that typically develops, designs, and publishes games for our clients in the mobile and handheld market. In the future, we would like to expand our work to fund and publish our own games, and Legend of Fat Ninja is our first attempt to do just that. It is an action-arcade game for iOS and Android devices.

We are working with our partners at Serial Lab Studios, Interactive Monster, and Wesley Gunn Creative NY who have worked on fantastic products in the past and are based here in the Tri-State area in and around New York City.

We have already created a full alpha of Legend of Fat Ninja, which has allowed us to build out all of the gameplay and mechanics. For those of you not working in the industry, an alpha is similar to a rough draft or mockup of a finished product! We’ve done this on our own dime and our early testers have been loving the game! But now it is time for us to build out additional levels, add more music and SFX, build out the mechanics for achievements, leaderboards, and other great things, and that is where you come in! Your money will go towards:

• Porting to Android for Kindle Fire
• Retina-display support
• Additional Levels
• High End Audio Creation
• Lots more character animations and objects in each level.
• If we raise more than $14,500, we intend to add another level into the game for every additional $2500 raised. The intent is to launch with 5 robust and fun to play levels covering various fantastic locations across Japan, but we would love for the Fat Ninja to visit locales from across the globe and intend to add levels over time!

Help Fat Ninja become the greatest chef the world has ever known!

Located near the peak of Mt. Fuji, the famed Iron Skillet Academy has existed for centuries, working to mold the best chefs of the age. Combining the unique ninja style of combat with the culinary skills of past masters, the academy is incredibly exclusive some years having not a single graduate!

This year is different however, not one but two ninja chefs have graduated! Kureijita, aka The Fat Ninja, and his sidekick Kaminoha! They have left the Iron Skillet and have now endeavored to open their own famed noodle shop. But in order to be the very best, they will have to find legendary ingredients that other chefs across the land use. In order to do this, they will travel to the homeland of each of these famed chefs and defeat them and their servants, all while serving up the highest quality noodles to the locals!

Legend of Fat Ninja features hours of single player gameplay for iOS and Android. It’s a fast-paced arcade game and an absolute blast to play. We hope you will join Team Fat Ninja and help us make this adventure into culinary “history” reality!

Gameplay

The Legend of Fat Ninja combines the skill based gameplay of physics games such as Angry Birds, with the arcade scoring and chaining mechanics of Pinball and point based arcade games. Every time you launch Fat Ninja into a level, you are able to direct his movements by simply tapping in the direction for him to attack. With every object you hit you build up power that allows you to continue. Attempt to build up the highest score possible while keeping enemy ninjas from reaching your noodle stand, and then defeat the resident chef to liberate the famous ingredient he has been hording! After launch, we plan to continue expanding the Fat Ninja with additional levels, moves, powerups, protagonists, and additional challenge/puzzle level packs that expand on the gameplay to provide new and never-before seen interactive gameplay!
